What is a minimum order, and why do suppliers set one?
A minimum order quantity (MOQ) is the smallest order a supplier accepts. Suppliers set one to cover the fixed costs of making, testing and shipping a batch.
The catch for buyers: a high minimum forces you to buy more than you can sell, or more than a study needs, before you know the product works for you.
How do volume tiers work?
A tier is a price step. The more you buy of one product, the lower the price per unit. Tiers reward repeat and larger orders.
Ours: the price per kit drops at 10, 50 and 100 kits of a product. A kit holds 10 vials.
Can you start with a small trial order?
With us, yes. There is no minimum order. Start with one kit of 10 vials, read the certificate, and see how the product and the service perform before you scale.
In-stock orders placed Monday to Friday before 2pm ET ship the same day.
What happens with very large orders?
Large custom bulk orders get custom pricing. Tell us the volume when you apply. We manufacture from APIs we source ourselves, in the US and internationally, which is how we keep large orders in stock and quote them directly.
How do you compare prices across suppliers?
Compare on the same basis: the same product, the same pack size, the same tier. A price per kit and a price per vial are different numbers. So are a price for powder weight and a price for peptide content. See peptide purity vs content.
What should be in a written quote?
- The minimum order, or a statement that there is none.
- Each tier: the quantity where the price steps down.
- The pack size every price applies to.
- What ships with the order, including the certificate of analysis.
- The cut-off and shipping time.
